Adventures of the Month: October 2015

Seriously? What is happening to this year? Did October really just end like that? My favorite month of the year… Gone in 5 seconds. Maybe it just felt so fast for me because I have been traveling. Within a month, I have visited 4 States, 7 Cities and 3 Countries. #BellaAngelesTravels

This has been the most adventurous month of my 2015 so far.

And I still can’t believe that October is over and that here I am, sitting in my mom’s living room back in the Philippines, squeezing out the blogger in me for this post.

It’s harder because I lost my phone at the airport back in Singapore and it had all my photos and notes. Uuugh. Very unfortunate of me. So for this particular post I’ll be using my Instagram photos, a very few photos that got synced to my account (now I don’t trust the cloud no more) and photos taken by my very supportive friends ☺️

Let’s begin!

October 1, 2015 | Rainbow Disco Bowling & Ice Skating

I was blessed to be a part of such an amazing Sales Team during my internship. And these amazing people threw me an amazing farewell party at the Basement, Edition Hotel. It was *AMAZIIIIIING! *word of the hour*

October 4, 2015 | Happy Anniversary Miami!

Today marks my first year in Miami Beach! And what better way to celeberate it by going to the beach… and sneaking in to Thompson Hotel for a quick dip! We totally rocked pretending to be guests so we could use their pool 😀 It was epic!

And our favorite part, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was a magical day for us muggles.

October 7, 2015 | Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Orlando Florida

Every kid’s dream, Disneyland! And no person is too old for Disney that’s for sure.

October 8 & 9, 2015 | Key West, Florida

After a magical day at Magic Kingdom, we drove back to Miami. But that’s not the end of our road trip. With no sleep, we head to the southern most point of the United States, Key West! It’s a small quirky island that is 90 miles away from Cuba. Best known for it’s beautiful sunset… The photo below does not show justice at all, but at least I tried.

October 10, 2015 | And the packing begins/continues

As we end our awesome road trip and with 6 days left in Miami, we spent almost every free time that we had packing our things. The apartment was a crazy mess! With heavy sighs, we organize our belongings into boxes and suit cases. This was it. Almost the end of a chapter…

October 16, 2015

The day has come to say good bye to paradise. My friends and I were literally in tears as we hug one another outside the apartment while the driver loads up our suit cases into the trunk. Though we will still be seeing each other in the Philippines, it was painful because things were about to change. We won’t be living under one roof anymore and we will all be busy with our own lives.

But as the saying goes…

“Every good bye is a Hello”

And after 6 long years, Dave and I found each other again. With months of talking to each other via all means of communication since he was in Texas and I was in Florida, we knew we had to see each other. And we made it happen. It was the best decision I’ve made so far. I never felt so much love from a man before, until I met him. Again.

October 22-25, 2015 | C A L I F O R N I A

A new state and a new road trip! From Los Angeles, we drove to the beautiful city of San Francisco! I was reunited with my high school sister Gayle. One day in SFO was not enough! We watched the sunset by the Golden Gate Bridge and it was just breathtakingly beautiful. The rest of the days, we roamed around Los Angeles.

October 27, 2015 | Finally 21 and Hello Manila!

After flying for 15 hours from California, we arrive in Singapore at 3 in the morning. Jet-lag? Absolutely… I was too tired to even feel that it was my birthday. And with all the wonderful events that has happened, the whole month of October felt like a month long celebration rather than just a day! 😀

And with that said, October left me with the following thoughts:

  • Travel Often. Save for the trip of your dreams and just go. Experience is far more valuable than material things will ever be.
  • Surrender to Love. You may be broken now but love is one of the few things that will build you up again. We can’t stop how we feel for someone but we can choose whether we want to stay numb & miserable or freely accept love and happiness.
  • Let Go & Let God. When you stop struggling, you’ll float. So keep always in mind to trust in Him.

And now that I am back in the Philippines, I took these past few weeks to rest. I’m not sure where the rest of the year will take me but I’m really glad to be at the comfort and safety of my family. I missed them too much this past year and to be honest, I think I’m not yet ready to be away from them again.

But I know what I have to do and where I should be.

For now, let’s live for the moment and enjoy the rest of the days of November.

With love,

plain
