My 2015 in One Word : Reconnect

Another year has just gone by and by tomorrow we welcome a new year. A fresh start to all of us. A new chance. A new beginning.

2015 has been the most remarkable year of my life so far.

Independence, Travel, Career and Growth are just the few words that can describe this beautiful year.

But out of all these words in the dictionary, one word stands out for me…

R E C O N N E C T

Reconnect with Yourself.

After leaving a relationship early this year, I found myself. Truly that you have to go through things alone in order to find yourself. I never thought I would be capable of such things but these discoveries about myself were the best adventures of my life.

Reconnect with Friends.

Whether former or new – connect. I made so much friends this year. Friends with different races and culture. It opened my eyes to a whole new country and experience it without spending a single penny. And as to my old friends, I loved reconnecting with each one of them. Nothing has changed. We may have not spoken routinely for over a year, the connection remained the same. And these are the kind of people I wanna grow old and perish with.

Reconnect with God.

We may have lost our ways at some point in our lives, I know I did. We all have been created to hear and connect with God in our own unique way. It is so beautiful to know that the Lord still speaks to us today. We just have to listen and learn how to tap into the divine channel.

Reconnect with a Goal.

The goal for my own personal blog was on standby for years! But look at it now, happily checked-out of my list. “It is never too late until you are dead.” An absolute correct pin I found on Pinterest the other day. So if you have a goal or a dream that is currently on standby, remember that every single day is a chance for you to take action and eventually reach it.

Reconnect with the Past.

They say the past is the past – don’t look back. In some situations, yes it is advisable, but for others, looking back might be the best thing to do.  And it has been the best for me. I looked back and reconnected with my love after being apart for 6 years. He was my past, now my present and most definitely my future.

I may have missed some but bare with me please, I am typing this last minute exactly now at 1:46am, December 31 2015. The blogger in me just suddenly decided to go back to work after being on vacation for almost two months. So anyways, enough with the commercial 😀

2015 is about to end and it is up to us if we will allow fragments of this year to take part of the new one.

New year – New me. Very cliché indeed.

But nope, I’m carrying 2015 over to 2016. I know it will come handy 😉

Happy New Year lovely people of the world! Tomorrow is the beginning of anything you want! But for me, the adventure continues!

Cheers,
